Michaela Lindner

Michaela Lindner (* 1958 in Görlitz as Norbert Lindner ) is a former politician of the Left Party .

Lindner grew up as a boy. She studied process engineering at the Technical University of Dresden . In 1994 she became aware of her trans identity . Lindner tried to suppress her identity and became a workaholic , had three jobs at the same time and was also involved in politics. In 1996 she was elected mayor of Quellendorf in Saxony-Anhalt for the PDS .

In 1997 she realized that life could not go on like this, and she gradually prepared for her new life as a woman. In 1998 she was ready to face the changes in public and appeared on duty in appropriate clothing. Unknown people then turned to the press. The municipal council initiated a voting procedure without giving any reason. Under observation of the international press, she was voted out of mayor with 482 votes from the 782 eligible voters.

In 1999 Michaela Lindner moved to Berlin , in the same year she was physically adjusted to become a woman. In Berlin she was a member of the district assembly in Kreuzberg. She has lived in Erfurt since summer 2002 . In June 2003 she founded a company there, the TheaterAgentur Erfurt. She heads this until today (as of 2013). She appears in schools with her troop, which take up various social problems.

Michaela Lindner married a woman in May 2005. She was married before; this marriage resulted in two children.
