Michaela Schlögl (* 1960 in Vienna ) is an Austrian cultural journalist.

biography

Schlögl completed a law degree at the University of Vienna with a doctorate in order to work for many years in the private sector in the field of marketing and communication. At the same time, she worked as a cultural journalist for Austrian magazines such as “Wochenpresse” or “Morgen” as well as for various daily newspapers (“Die Presse”, “Wiener Zeitung”) from the mid-1980s.

As a freelance cultural journalist, she has mainly published books on cultural-historical topics and biographical works on artists and cultural managers such as Rudolf Buchbinder and Dominique Meyer .

Her collection of interviews, “Woran beliet who believes”, was much discussed. At the height of the conflict within the Roman Catholic Church in Austria in the late 1990s, it sought to clarify the point of view in 15 interviews with representatives of various positions from church and art.
