Michaela Sohn-Kronthaler

Michaela Sohn-Kronthaler (born March 12, 1969 in Bruck an der Mur ) is an Austrian Catholic church historian . She is Professor of Church History at the University of Graz .

Life

She studied Catholic theology, independent religious education and Christian philosophy in Graz and Innsbruck . After completing her doctorate and habilitation in church history, she has been head of the Institute for Church History and Contemporary Church History at the Catholic-Theological Faculty of the Karl-Franzens University Graz since 2002.

Her research interests are medieval and modern church history, contemporary church history, historical-theological research on women and gender, and national church history.

She is married to the historian Andreas Sohn .
