Michal Sabolčík

Michal Sabolčík (born June 3, 1924 in Soľa ; † July 27, 1995 in Bratislava ) was a Czechoslovak politician of the Communist Party of Czechoslovakia KSČ ( Komunistická strana Československa ) , who was among other things head of the Federal Price Office in the ministerial rank between 1971 and 1988.

Life

In 1951 Sabolčík became chairman of the MNV (Místní národní výbor) municipal committee in his place of birth and held this position until 1957. Between 1958 and 1961 he was head of the Central Committee (ZK) office of the Communist Party of Slovakia KSS (Komunistická strana Slovenska) , the regional organization of Komunistická strana Československa in Slovakia. Between 1961 and 1971 he was a member of the Slovak National Council (Slovenská národní rada) . At the party congress of November 24-25, 1962, he became a member of the Presidium of the Central Committee and a member of the Central Committee of the Slovak KSS. On the XII. At the party congress (December 4-8, 1962) he became a candidate for the KSČ Central Committee. As early as September 20, 1963, he became a member of the Central Committee and a candidate for the Presidium of the Central Committee, replacing Ludmila Jankovcová in this function .

On June 14, 1964, he also became a member of the National Assembly of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic (Národní shromáždění republiky socialistické Československé) and was a member of this until December 31, 1968. During his parliamentary membership, he was a member of the Investment Development and Construction Committee. He was also confirmed as a member of the Presidium of the Central Committee and a member of the Central Committee of the KSS at the KSS Party Congress (May 12-14, 1966) and was also elected Secretary of the Central Committee and member of the KSS Central Committee Secretariat. On January 1, 1969, Sabolčík became a member of the newly created Federation Assembly (Federální shromáždění) and belonged to the Chamber of the People (Sněmovna národů) in its first electoral term until November 25, 1971, and subsequently to the Chamber of Peoples (Sněmovna národů) between 27 November 1971 and January 29, 1990. In the second government of Prime Minister Lubomír Štrougal , he succeeded Ignác Rendek on December 9, 1971, as the head of the Federal Prize Office (ministr - předseda Federálního cenového úřadu) and held this post in the third , fourth and fifth governments Štrougal until April 20, 1988, after which Pavol Hrivnák became his successor.
