Michel Dupuis

Michel Dupuis (* 1950 near Versailles ) is a French chef and restaurateur who has lived in Munich since 1980 .

Career

In the 1970s, Dupuis worked in the famous Taillevent restaurant in Paris (three Michelin stars from 1973 ), then in the Barriere de Clichy with Guy Savoy .

In 1980 he came to Munich and met Eckart Witzigmann . From 1983 he ran the Glockenbach restaurant in Munich as a sommelier with Karl Ederer , which was awarded a Michelin star in 1995. In 1996 he opened the Dukatz restaurant in the Literaturhaus . In 2010 it moved to the Schäfflerhof. He also ran the Dukatz pastry shop with branches in Lehel and Glockenbachviertel. In 2013, the Dukatz bosses sold to their chef Johann Rappenglück . Dupuis also sold the Dukatz patisseries.

In 2013 Dupuis opened the restaurant No. 15 with his wife Aysun at Neureutherstrasse 15 in Munich, which was awarded a star in 2015. In 2018 he closed the restaurant.

In May 2019 Karl Ederer opened the restaurant Ederer , again with Michel Dupuis in the team.
