Life
Tauriac volunteered for the army and fought in the Indochina War . In 1950 he returned to France and immediately got a job as a foreign correspondent. The focus of his work was on the Middle East and Indochina .
He wrote for newspapers and magazines such as Paris-Presse , Journal du Combattant and France Dimanche . At the latter he also acted as editor-in-chief for some time. He later switched to radio and television. He worked for RTL , France Inter and Radio France . Tauriac reached the peak of his career in 1989 when he was appointed General Manager of Radio France. In 1991 he gave up this post and slowly withdrew into private life.
reception
Tauriac was an unconditional partisan and admirer of Charles de Gaulle and his politics. This can also be seen in his non-fiction books, which actually only know this one topic.
