Michele Godino (born January 11, 1992 in Chioggia ) is an Italian snowboarder . He starts in snowboard cross.

Career

Godino, who starts for the CS Esercito, took part in the European Cup for the first time in Sand in Taufers in January 2008 and came in 36th in the giant slalom. At the European Youth Olympic Winter Festival 2009 in Szczyrk he won 14th place in the parallel giant slalom and sixth place in snowboard cross. At the Junior World Championships 2011 in Chiesa in Valmalenco he came in 29th place in snowboard cross and at the Junior World Championships in 2012 in Sierra Nevada on 11th place in snowboard cross. He made his debut in the World Cup in March 2012 in Chiesa in Valmalenco, which he finished in 58th place. In March 2014 he reached inVeysonnaz achieved his first top ten placement in the World Cup with sixth place and 19th place in the Snowboard Cross World Cup at the end of the 2013/14 season. In the 2017/18 season he made it into the top ten twice in 12 World Cup appearances. He achieved his first podium finish in the World Cup with second place in Feldberg and 19th place in the Snowboard Cross World Cup at the end of the season. At the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang , he finished 23rd in snowboard cross and at the 2019 World Snowboard Championships in Park City, 23rd and 12th in the team competition.

Godino has participated in 53 World Cups so far and has finished in the top ten three times. (Status: end of season 2019/20)
