Michelle Scutt (née Probert ; born June 17, 1960 in Liverpool ) is a former British athlete who specialized in the 400-meter run .

Scutt was four times Welsh champion in 100 and 200 meters and twice over 400 meters. She also won once at the British Championships in the 400-meter run and at the championships of the Amateur Athletic Association over 200 and 400 meters. She competed at the 1980 Olympic Games in Moscow together with Linsey Macdonald , Joslyn Hoyte-Smith and Donna Hartley in the 4 x 400 meter relay and won the bronze medal behind the teams from the Soviet Union and the GDR. In the 400-meter run, she missed the final. Two years later she won the silver medal over 400 meters for Wales at the 1982 Commonwealth Games in Brisbane .

In her second Olympic participation in 1984 in Los Angeles , Scutt finished fourth with the relay. In the 400-meter run, she was eliminated again in the semi-finals , just like a year earlier at the World Athletics Championships in Helsinki in 1983 .

Michelle Scutt is 1.70 m tall, weighed 56 kg when she was active and started for the Harriers Manchester Sale .
