Michelle Volkenrath (born December 14, 1981 ) is a former German biathlete .

Michelle Volkenrath took part in the 2000 World Junior Championships in Hochfilzen and was 33rd in the sprint and 29th in the pursuit. A year later she missed in Khanty-Mansiysk as fourth place in the individual against the Russian Julija Makarowa by just one place a medal. This she won as third place with Jenny Adler and Romy Beer in the relay race. In the season between the two world championships, she won in Ridnaun a race of the Junior European Cup . Behind Beer and Makarowa, she was also third in the overall ranking of the Junior European Cup of the season. In addition, she won the season in the women with eagle,Sabrina Buchholz and Ina Menzel the last race of the season, a relay competition in Champex-Lac . However, since she was unable to assert herself against domestic competition in the long term, Volkenrath ended her active career early on.
