The Micky Brühl Band (MBB for short) is a Cologne dialect and carnival band that formed in 2013 around the former front man of the Paveier .

Band history

After Micky Brühl had been the singer of the Cologne band Paveier for 29 years , he decided to build a band under his own name after leaving in 2012. In January 2013, the first single, Die Nights am Rhing sinn, was released on Ariola-Colonia, a sub-label of Sony Music Entertainment .

In October of the same year, the group's first album was released, entitled Von Front , on which Cologne musicians such as Peter Brings and Erry Stoklosa ( Bläck Fööss ) had also contributed. The album also contains the title Zo Fooss noh Kölle jonn , which is supposed to pay homage to Willi Ostermann's unofficial city anthem Heimweh nach Köln . In their first carnival session in 2013/2014, the band made around 170 appearances.

In 2015 guitarist Michael Brettner joined . In March 2018 Manuel Sauer, Alex Vesper, Andi Kober, Simon Kurtenbach and Michael Brettner left the group due to personal differences and founded the band Eldorado in October of the same year . A few weeks later the new members of the Micky Brühl band were announced; the group now consists of six members.
