Alex Vesper

Alex Vesper (born June 27, 1967 in Cologne ) is a German drummer .

Life

Vesper had drum lessons at the age of seven. He studied classical percussion at the Hürth Music School and percussion with Christoph Caskel and drums with Thomas Witzmann and Sperie Karas at the Rheinische Musikschule Köln .

He worked on studio and CD productions a. a. by Nikitakis , Birbaek , den Bläck Fööss , Peter Orloff , Bed and Breakfast , Cassandra Reed, Serge Maillard, Benjamin Boyce and Daniel Amanti. He is a member of Gruppe Drei vom Rhein (with Helmuth Fass , Werner Neumann and Pit Hupperten), with which he recorded several albums, and has been the drummer for DJ Bobo since 2003 . Since 2008 he has been a lecturer at the Institute for Music at the Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences and also gives workshops on the subject of modern drums at music schools and universities, at trade fairs and various drum festivals.

In April 2011 he accompanied Lena Meyer-Landrut on the Lena Live Tour 2011 as a drummer.

In October 2018 he was a founding member of the band Eldorado .
