Microsoft TechNet is a web - portal with a collection of tools, software and resources for the efficient planning , implementation , administration and advice on the use of Microsoft products. The software company's offer is primarily aimed at IT specialists (e.g. "Microsoft Certified Professionals") who plan, develop, provide, manage and advise IT systems in the corporate sector.

TechNet subscription

TechNet subscription service subscribers could use new Microsoft products until the end of 2013 for an annual payment. IT specialists and programmers were able to gain practical experience with new Microsoft products, test and evaluate versions without having to license the respective product individually.

In summer 2013 it was announced that Microsoft's TechNet subscription would be discontinued until the end of 2014. Microsoft has been making test licenses available through the TechNet Evaluation Center since the end of 2013.

TechNet Wiki

The TechNet Wiki is a Wikipedia- inspired wiki that allows authors to create new content themselves. TechNet Wiki is not an official Microsoft program. Each author can independently write articles on new topics and edit existing articles. The aim is to publish more extensive content (provision, maintenance, etc.) by a larger circle of authors with less friction.

TechNet Script Center

Aimed at system administrators who use Windows PowerShell to automate repetitive workflows.

Blogs and forums

TechNet Forum allows you to ask questions about specific problems with the use, maintenance and provision of Microsoft products. Questions can be asked and answered by all TechNet members.
