The Middle River is a river in the east of the Australian state of New South Wales .
It rises east of Wollemi National Park and flows to the southwest, where it joins the Coxs River north of Lake Lyell .
The small town of Marrangaroo on the Great Western Highway lies in the valley on the north bank of the river.
