Midsummer High Weekend

Midsummer High Weekend was a rock concert that took place in London on Saturday June 29, 1968 . It was the first in a series of free outdoor concerts in Hyde Park hosted by Blackhill Enterprises .

Roy Harper , Jethro Tull and Tyrannosaurus Rex appeared before headliner Pink Floyd . On the same day, Pink Floyd's second album A Saucerful of Secrets was released . Pink Floyd played three tracks from the new album, plus Interstellar Overdrive from their debut album The Piper at the Gates of Dawn , released the year before .
