The Miethe Glacier is a 5 km long glacier on the Danco coast of Graham Land in the north of the Antarctic Peninsula . It flows northwest to Thomas Cove on Gerlache Road , which it reaches immediately south of Mount Banck .
The glacier was first recorded on an Argentine map from 1952. The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it in 1960 after the German chemist Adolf Miethe (1862–1927), who in 1903 was the first to use panchromatic emulsion to sensitize photographic plates.
