In 1809 the tax district Mietraching was formed, and in 1818 the political municipality was established. In 1838 a school was built on the western edge of the village. In 1839 Franz Xaver Freiherr von Hafenbrädl zu Schlossau bought a farm on the eastern edge of the town and expanded it into a manor house , to which a castle chapel was added in 1841. In addition, a glass ribbon and an inn were built. Hafenbrädl died in 1840, his widow Elisabeth Freiin von Hafenbrädl received permission on July 18, 1849 to rename the Hafenbrädlsche settlement, previously known as the “new building”, to Maxhofen. The Rusel power plants emerged from the Maxhofen power plant built in 1919/20 .

The population of Mietraching rose from 591 in 1840 to 1630 in 1961 and 1771 in 1970. On January 1, 1972, the municipality of Greising was added, and on January 1, 1974, Mietraching was incorporated into the large district town of Deggendorf as part of the municipal reform.
