The Miflaga Progresivit ( Hebrew מפלגה פרוגרסיבית, German Progressive Party , Engl. Progressive Party ) was a liberal political party in Israel . It existed from 1948 to 1961.

The party was founded in 1948. The party founders came for the most part from the ranks of the parties Alijah Chadascha and HaOved HaTzioni , which were already active before the establishment of the Israeli state. Like its founders, the new party mainly represented immigrants from Central Europe . The Miflaga Progresivit was elected to the founding assembly in 1949 , which then became the 1st Knesset . The party was represented in the Knesset from the 1st legislative period (1949–1951) to the 4th legislative period (1959–1961) . During this period she was involved in government several times. Towards the end of the 4th Knesset, it united with the Tzionim Klaliym (General Zionists) party to form the Miflaga Liberalit Jisra'elit (Liberal Party) .

The party chairman was Pinchas Rosen , who was also one of the founders of the party. During the various government participations of Miflaga Progresivit, Rosen held the office of Minister of Justice .

On May 8, 1961, the Miflaga Progresivit dissolved. The newly formed Miflaga Liberalit Jisra'elit later joined the Gachal electoral alliance with the conservative Cherut , which eventually became the Likud .
