Miguel Rodríguez Ruiz

Miguel Rodríguez Ruiz SDB (born June 14, 1935 in Santa Coloma del Rudrón ) is a Spanish religious and Roman Catholic New Testament scholar .

Life

He joined the Order of the Salesians of Don Bosco in 1952. After studying at the Universidad Pontificia de Salamanca , which he completed with a theological licentiate, he was ordained a priest on April 14, 1963 . Until 1967 he was active in Salesian educational and pastoral work in Spain. He completed a special course at the Pontificio Istituto Biblico in Rome in 1970 with a biblical licentiate, and then worked as a lecturer in Salamanca . He received his doctorate in 1985 with Rudolf Schnackenburg in Würzburg . In the same year he became a lecturer for the New Testament at the PTH Benediktbeuern , where he has been a professor since 1994. His main research interests are the Gospel of John and the Apostle Paul .
