Mihály Vasas
Mihály Vasas (born September 14, 1933 ) is a former Hungarian football player . The striker , who played for Salgótarjáni BTC and MTK Budapest FC , took part in the 1958 World Cup with the Hungarian national team. Previously, on April 20, 1958, he had played in the international match against Yugoslavia (2-0) in Budapest and also scored a goal.

In the three group matches against Wales (1: 1), Sweden (1: 2), Mexico (4: 0) and the play-off for second place in Group 3 against Wales (1: 2) on June 17, 1958 in Stockholm Solna, Vasas was not used. Coach Lajos Baróti relied on players like József Bozsik , Dezső Bundzsák , Matiasz Fenyvesi, Gyula Grosics , Nándor Hidegkuti , Sándor Mátrai , Laszlo Sarosi, Ferenc Sipos and the four-time goalscorer Lajos Tichy .
