Mihael Brejc
Mihael "Miha" Brejc (born November 15, 1947 in Belgrade ) is a Slovenian politician of the SDS .
Life
Brejc graduated from the Faculty of Social Sciences in Ljubljana with a Diploma in Sociology and a Masters in Sociology . He graduated from the Faculty of Work Organization in Kranj in the field of organizational sciences . He was a lecturer and associate professor at the University of Ljubljana before becoming a full professor there in 1997. He also worked at several schools of continuing education as a secretary, lecturer and dean. From 1990 to 1993 he headed the Slovenian intelligence service. He is also President of the Society for the Slovenian - Taiwanese Friendship.
Brejc has been vice chairman of the SDS since 1995. From 1994 to 1998 he was chairman of the Domžale municipal council . In 2000 he held the office of Minister for Labor, Family and Social Affairs for a few months. After that he was a member of the State Assembly until 2004 , of which he was also Vice President. During this time he was also a member of the Slovenian delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe . In 2003 he became an observer in the European Parliament and also headed the Slovenian delegation there before he was elected a full member in the 2004 European elections . He carried out this mandate until 2009.
