The Miharashi Peak ( Japanese 見 晴 岩 Miharashi-iwa , German 'viewing mountain ' ) is a 40 m high hill on the East Ongul Island off the Prince Harald Coast of the East Antarctic Queen Maud Land . It is the highest point on the northeastern edge of the island.
Measurements and aerial photographs of a Japanese Antarctic expedition from 1957, the participants of which used the descriptive naming, were used to map this summit. The US Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names transferred this designation in 1968 in a partial translation into English.
