Miika Johannes Koppinen (born July 5, 1978 in Kokkola ) is a Finnish football player who also played in the national team of his home country from 2000 to 2006 .

The 1.89 m tall defender played for Finnish clubs Kokkolan Palloveikot and FF Jaro before moving to Norway for Tromsø IL in 2000 . There he was relegated to the second division in 2001. However, the club succeeded in the immediate resurgence. From 2005 he was under contract with Rosenborg Trondheim and became Norwegian champions with this club in 2006. In 2008 he returned to Tromsø IL.

Miika Koppinen made 18 appearances for Finland between 2000 and 2006 . He then resigned from the national team for personal reasons, but was nominated by national coach Stuart Baxter in October 2010 for the European Championship qualifier against Hungary .
