Mijanou Bardot
Mijanou Bardot , actually Marie-Jeanne Bardot (born May 5, 1938 in Paris ), is a retired French film actress . She is the younger sister of Brigitte Bardot .
Life
Marie-Jeanne grew up with her sister in a wealthy and sheltered family. She got her nickname Mijanou from her father. After the great success of her sister Brigitte as an actress and model, Mijanou was also offered a film contract, which she hesitantly agreed. She made her debut in 1956 in the feature film Club de femmes . A few films followed. In 1960 she shot the comedy Sex Kittens Go to College in the USA alongside the film star Mamie van Doren .
In 1966 she moved to London and worked as a model there after trying in vain to be recognized as a serious actress. After her wedding to the Belgian actor Patrick Bauchau , whom she met while filming La collectionneuse , she was only involved in the film Después del diluvio (1970); then she withdrew into private life. The couple have a daughter.
