Patrick Bauchau

Patrick Bauchau (born December 6, 1938 in Brussels ) is a Belgian actor .

Life

Patrick Bauchau was born the son of Henry Bauchau , a writer, psychoanalyst and philosopher. His mother was a teacher and ran a publishing house.

He studied modern languages at Oxford University and began his career in French Nouvelle Vague cinema . Since the 1960s, he has starred in various US and European films and TV productions. In the 1970s he took a break from acting. His best-known roles were Sydney in the series Pretender (1996), the wise vampire prince Archon in the series Embraced (1996) and the James Bond villain Scarpine in In the Face of Death (1985). In 2005 he made a guest appearance in the hospital series Dr. House .

Bauchau is married to the French actress Mijanou Bardot , a sister of the film actress Brigitte Bardot . His hobbies are gardening, carpentry , yoga and collecting oriental art . He speaks French , English , Spanish , Italian , German and a little Russian and Flemish .
