Mike Fenner
Mike Fenner (born April 24, 1971 in East Berlin , GDR ) is a former German athlete who specialized in hurdles .
Career
Fenner's breakthrough came in 1990 when he finished second in the last GDR championships in the 110-meter hurdles . At the German championships after reunification he was also able to finish second in 1994, 1997 and 1998. In 2001 and 2004 he was German champion. In the hall over 60 meter hurdles he won a total of ten medals between 1990 and 2006, whereby he won the German championship title in 1994, 1997, 2002 and 2003.

He also won the bronze medal at the European Indoor Championships over 60 meter hurdles in 1994 and 1998 in 7.58 seconds.
His only Olympic participation was in 2004 , but as in the 1997 and 2001 World Championships , he was eliminated in the interim.
On August 31, 2006, Fenner announced his resignation from active competitive sports because of persistent Achilles tendon problems .
