Mike Robin Ortwein (born May 27, 1993 in Iserlohn ) is a German ice hockey player who was most recently under contract with the Iserlohn Roosters in the German Ice Hockey League . He has been under contract with the Hammer Eisbären since the 2014/15 season .

Career

Mike Ortwein started his career as an ice hockey player in the youth department of the Iserlohner EC . Due to the lack of potential in the Iserlohn youth department, he later moved to Krefeld EV 1981 , for which he was active in the school league from 2006 to 2008, among other things. The defender spent the following three years at the Düsseldorfer EG , for whose junior team he competed in the German junior league. In the 2009/10 season he came for the second team of the Düsseldorf parallel in the fourth-class ice hockey regional league for his first assignments in the senior division. For the 2010/11 season , the left shooter moved to EHC Dortmund from the third-class ice hockey league , in which he became a regular player straight away.

For the 2012/13 season Ortwein was obliged by the Iserlohn Roosters , for whose professional team he made his debut in the German Ice Hockey League during the season . At the same time, he was equipped with a funding license for the top division club Moskitos Essen . In the following year Ortwein played for the Füchse Duisburg equipped with a license . After the 2013/14 season , his contract with the Iserlohn Roosters was not extended. So he joined the Hammer Eisbären in the Oberliga in summer 2014.
