Mike Robertson (born February 26, 1985 in Edmonton ) is a retired Canadian snowboarder . He started in the discipline snowboard cross.

Career

Robertson took part in competitions of the FIS from 2000 to 2010 . From 2000 to 2007 he mainly competed in the Nor Am Cup. He finished second in the snowboard cross ranking in the 2005/06 season. He drove his first World Cup race in December 2003 in Whistler , which he finished in 22nd place. In September 2007 he reached his first podium with ninth place in Valle Nevado . In the 2008/09 season he came in nine World Cup appearances six times in the top ten, including a third place in Bad Gastein and a second place in Cypress . At the Snowboard World Championships 2009 in Gangwon he achieved 17th place. He finished the season in 15th place in the overall world cup and fifth in the snowboard cross world cup. The following year he won the silver medal at the Vancouver Winter Olympics .

Robertson took part in 31 World Cup races and came in 11 times in the top ten.
