Nicola Minali (born November 10, 1969 in Isola della Scala , Veneto ) is a former Italian road cyclist . He won a total of 12 stages at Grand Tours , including the prestigious final stage on the Champs-Élysées of the 1997 Tour de France . He also won the Paris Tours Classic twice .

His name was on the list published by the French Senate on July 24, 2013 of doping tests taken during the 1998 Tour de France and tested positive for EPO in a retest in 2004 .
