Mike Väth

Mike Väth (* 1967 in Frankfurt am Main , Hesse ) is a German techno - musicians , DJ , Digital Artist and communication designers . He is the younger brother of Sven Väth .

Life

Väth, born in Frankfurt am Main in 1967, first appeared as an artist in the early 1990s. In 1993 he founded the ProVäth artists' association as a multimedia project consisting of light, music, space, images and words. The exhibition Genesis - Visionary History of Creation followed in 1996 in the DigitalART Gallery in Frankfurt. Together with the artist Andrea Chiappa, Väth presented the exhibition Tightrope Walk in 1997 - The Technotarot at Falkenstein Castle near Kronberg im Taunus.

Later Väth also turned to music production. Together with the musicians René Walliczek and Paul Schulte, he founded the live act Mike Väth Project in 1999 . In the same year the first singles appeared on the Macrolon record label. After a musical break, Väth was active as a DJ from the mid-2000s. For several years he worked for Anthony Rothers record label datapunk . In 2009 he founded his own music label Gon Records with Sandro and Marco Junker from Audionatica , on which releases by Audionatica, Alex Modigliani, Axel Karakasis and DJ Danko appeared.

Väth has two daughters and a son. He has lived in Zurich with his family since 2007 .
