Miklós Szabó (long distance runner)

Miklós Szabó (born December 22, 1928 in Kecskemét ) is a former Hungarian long-distance runner .

Over 5000 m he was fourth at the Olympic Games in Melbourne in 1956 and won the 1957 World Festival of Youth and Students . In 1958 he was tenth at the European Athletics Championships in Stockholm , and in 1960 he was eliminated at the Olympic Games in Rome in the preliminary run.

At the EM in 1962 in Belgrade, he came 22nd over 10,000 m .

He was twice Hungarian champion over 10,000 m (1957, 1961) and in cross-country running on the long distance (1960, 1961) and once each over 5000 m (1956) and in cross-country running on the short distance (1957).
