Milan Rapaić (born August 16, 1973 in Nova Gradiška ) is a former Croatian football player .
He began his professional career in 1991 at Hajduk Split , moved to Perugia Calcio in 1996 and after four years in Turkey to Fenerbahçe Istanbul where he was nicknamed RAP-RAP . After an unsuccessful year in Italy with relegated AC Ancona , Rapaić moved back to Croatia. He then played for three years for the Belgian club Standard Liège . In spring 2008 he joined the Croatian second division club HNK Trogir . He celebrated his greatest successes with Hajduk Split, where he became champions in 1992 , 1994 , 1995 and 2004.
Rapaić played his first international game in 1994, but was only used 20 times until the 2002 World Cup. After he scored the winning goal against Italy at the World Cup in Japan and South Korea in 2002 , he was a regular. He had a choice between Croatia and Serbia (as he is a Serb from Croatia) but chose Croatia.
Rapaić usually plays the games in attacking midfield or on the left, although he is a trained striker. He is known for his spectacular free kick goals from long distances.
