The Millett Glacier is a heavily furrowed glacier on the Rymill Coast of the Palmerland on the Antarctic Peninsula . It flows from the Dyer Plateau in a westerly direction into the George VI Sound , which it reaches north of Wade Point . In its lower section, it merges from the north into the Meiklejohn Glacier .
It was first measured in 1936 by the British Graham Land Expedition (1934–1937) under the direction of the Australian polar explorer John Rymill . The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named him in 1954 after Hugh Mainwaring Millett (1903-1968), chief engineer on this expedition.
