The Meiklejohn Glacier is a 19 km long and 6.5 km wide glacier on the Rymill coast of the Palmerland on the Antarctic Peninsula . It flows from the Dyer Plateau in a westerly direction to George VI Sound , which it reaches immediately south of Moore Point . In its lower section it merges into the north flank of the Millett Glacier .
It was first measured in 1936 by the British Graham Land Expedition (1934–1937) under the direction of the Australian polar explorer John Rymill . The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named him in 1954 after Ian Forbes Meiklejohn (1907-1977), radio operator on this research trip .
