The Mills Valley is an icy valley in East Antarctic Victoria Land . On the east side of Pain Mesa in the Mesa Range , it lies between Biretta Peak and the Diversion Hills .
The United States Geological Survey mapped it from the United States Navy's own surveys and aerial photographs from 1960 to 1964. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it in 1969 after Commander Norman J. Mills of the US Navy Reserve Forces, Head of the Detachment A during the winter at McMurdo Station as part of Operation Deep Freeze in 1967.
