Milojko Drulović

Milojko "Čiča" Drulović (born February 24, 1923 near Nova Varoš , Yugoslavia ; † probably January 3, 1989 ) was a Yugoslav journalist, politician and diplomat.

He joined the Communist Party of Yugoslavia in 1941 and took part in the fight of the partisans against the German occupiers. After the end of the war, he held functions in the party and army at regional level. He studied law at the University of Belgrade and in the 1960s held a leading position in the ideology commission of the Central Committee of the Serbian National Association of the Union of Communists of Yugoslavia (BdKJ). From 1959 to 1969 he belonged to the Central Committee of the Serbian Regional Association of the BdKJ, from 1969 to 1982 to the Central Committee of the party at the federal level.

From 1967 to 1971 he was director and editor-in-chief of the newspaper Politika . From 1973 to 1978 he was Yugoslav Ambassador to the People's Republic of China , from 1982 Yugoslav Ambassador to the Soviet Union .
