Mimbach is a part of the local community Anschau in the district of Mayen-Koblenz in Rhineland-Palatinate . The place is located on the Mimbach stream of the same name, northwest of the village of Anschau. A road cross from the 19th century is the only cultural monument in Mimbach.

The riding and driving association Mimbach e. V. is based in Anschau / Mimbach. The association, founded in 1997, exclusively and directly pursues charitable purposes. There are currently 79 members. The traditional equestrian and jumping tournament takes place every year on the last weekend in April.
The Rock in der Pampa event has been taking place in Mimbach since 2004.
