Minami (singer-songwriter)

Minami ( 美 波 ; * September 14, 1997 in Saitama , Saitama Prefecture ) is a Japanese singer-songwriter .

Career

Minami was born in Saitama in 1997 . Inspired by Yutaka Ozaki , she began writing her own music in high school and learned to play the guitar .

In 2017 she won the second edition of an audition organized by the Japanese label FlyingDog and was signed to the record company. In June of the same year an EP with four tracks was released with Eternal Blue ; A single with Main Actor followed at the end of the year .

The first release on FlyingDog was Kawaki wo Ameku , which was released at the end of January 2019. The song was used as the opening credits in the anime television series Domestic Girlfriend and reached a listing in the Japanese single charts .

In the meantime, Minami switched to the record company Warner Music Records Japan and released her first single on June 30, 2020 with Ame wo Matsu on this label.
