Mindcrime is a German power metal band that was founded in 1999. The vocal spectrum of the singer varies from clean singing to aggressive shouts.

history

Originally the first line-up for Mindcrime came out of a loose composition of school friends Christoph Weller, Mario Junker, Marco Meisch, Florian Salchow and Marcel Mombour. The sextet was able to record several regional concerts very quickly. Keyboardist Peter Eisel quit before the first album "Never like forver" was recorded and was replaced by Benjamin Geldsetzer. This album was produced under the direction of Stefan Weber and Mario Klein (Mandylion) and distributed professionally for the first time.

In 2001 Marco Meisch, Florian Salchow and Marcel Mombour went their own way due to different musical preferences. Bastian Brühl became the only guitarist for the time being and Jens C. Silz took over the drums.

After completing many songwriting sessions and concerts, the band began their label debut "Tourniquet Sleep" in the Space Lab studio in Oedt near Krefeld under the wing of Everon musicians Oliver Phillips and Christian "Moschus" Moos. The Gummersbach label Black Bards Entertainment increasingly performed live shows at home and abroad, including the multi-week European tour supporting the Swedish metal band Morgana Lefay .

Mindcrime also played many concerts afterwards and soon looked back on finished material for the album "Strandead". Recorded in the Siegburger Gernhart-Studio (inter alia Destruction , Perzonal War , Accuser ) Mindcrime presented itself more compact and modern than on the previous releases.

In order to implement the album adequately, Alex Bartkowski (Guerilla, The Very End ) was hired as the second guitarist, who was quickly replaced by Sascha Stange. Benjamin Geldsetzer and the band soon went their separate ways, the keyboards were taken over by the Finn Jari Koskela from the band Let me Dream.

The band broke up in 2007 after long-time drummer Jens C. Silz left, and celebrated a comeback in the Vortex in Siegen on the occasion of the CD re-release of the Siegerland band Accuser in October 2014 after more than 7 years of absence from the stage the KulturPur -Late-Night 2015 in Hilchenbach followed.
