The Very End is a German Thrash / Melodic Death Metal band from Essen . The band was founded in 2004 and is under contract with SPV . The band's discography includes three studio albums .

history

The band was founded in 2004 by the guitarist René Bogdanski and the drummer Lars Janosch. The line-up was completed by the singer Björn Gooßes, the guitarist Volker Rummel and the bassist Marc Beste. The musicians have already gained experience in other bands. So is Gooßes u. a. active at Night in Gales while Bogdanski played at Ninnghizhidda .

In 2005 the band released their first demo 2k5 , which was named "Tip of the Month" by the music magazine Legacy . The Very End played their first concert in Essen as the opening act for the Apokalyptischen Reiter . The following year the band played concerts with bands like Exodus , Pro-Pain and Undertow . In 2007 the second demo soundtrack for Your Funeral was released , which was named “Demo of the Month” by Metal Hammer magazine .

When looking for a record company, the musicians were accompanied by the online portal Derwesten.de , which published a three-part video report. The Very End were finally signed to Dockyard 1 , who released their debut album Vs. Life published. The self-produced album, mastered by Dan Swanö , received good reviews and enabled the band to perform concerts in the opening act for Sepultura , Napalm Death or Rage . During 2009, The Very End separated from Dockyard 1 because the musicians were not satisfied with the work of the record company.

In 2010 the band recorded the second studio album Mercy & Misery on their own . The album, which was financed by the musicians themselves and produced by Waldemar Sorychta , was released by SPV in January 2011. After shooting a founding member Lars Janosch left the band and was replaced by Daniel Zeman, who is also in the band Enemy of the Sun is active. Later Volker Rummel left the band and was replaced by Alex Bartkowski. In November 2012 the third studio album Turn Off the World was released .
