Enemy of the Sun is a German Metal - band .
history
The band was formed in 2006. It was named after the album of the same name by the band Neurosis from 1993. The best-known member is Waldemar Sorychta , who was previously active in bands such as Despair , Grip Inc. and Voodoocult and made a name for himself as a music producer in the 1990s . Sorychta is also currently a member of Eyes of Eden . The bassist Alla Fedynich was a live bassist with Pain and also a member of Eyes of Eden. The Finnish singer Jules Neväri and the drummer Daniel Zeman have previously played in lesser known bands. At the beginning of 2007 the band recorded a demo that was named "Demo of the Month" by both Rock Hard and Metal Hammer . In June 2007 the band played in Hamburg in the opening act for Megadeth .
The debut album Shadows , produced by Waldemar Sorychta, was released on December 7, 2007 and was named "Album of the Month" by Rock Hard. In summer 2008 the band performed at the Wacken Open Air , the With Full Force and the Summer Breeze Festival. On May 28, 2010, the follow-up album Caedium was also released on Massacre Records. After a long hiatus, Enemy of the Sun announced a new studio album for 2018.
