Night in Gales is a German melodic death metal band.

history

The band was founded in May 1995 by Christian Müller (vocals), Jens and Frank Basten (both guitar), Tobias Bruchmann (bass, vocals) and Christian Bass (drums) in Voerde. After the demo Sylphlike and the EP Razor, singer Müller left the band and was replaced by Björn Gooßes. The band signed a record deal with Nuclear Blast , which they left after the release of Nailwork to move to Massacre Records. The split with Massacre Records followed in autumn 2001 during a European tour with God Dethroned , whereupon most of the band members switched their focus to other projects. A year later, drummer Christian Bass left the band to concentrate on the metalcore band Deadsoil , although this year some successful shows for the band at Summer Breeze and Party.San were completed. At the beginning of 2003 he was replaced by Adriano Ricci. After a mini-tour with Fear My Thoughts and Bitterness, the band released the free 4-track EP Ten Years of Tragedy in 2005, ten years after their founding . In 2011 the band released another CD called Five Scars through Lifeforce Records. The meanwhile lead singer Björn Gooßes got out again and original singer Christian Müller got back in. Together they recorded the album The Lasts Sunsets , which was released via Apostasy Records in February 2018.
