Mini disco
Mini Disco or "Happy Disco" are often called the children's animation programs in club hotels , holiday complexes and campsites around the Mediterranean, especially in Spain and Italy . The pieces of music played there are intended to encourage children between the ages of three and around 12 to dance along. The organizers are faced with the task of addressing the children despite their different mother tongues and lack of knowledge of foreign languages. This happens on the one hand through simple, action-oriented and often repeated texts in the style of modern Singspiele, on the other hand through multilingual stanzas. These discos start at a fixed time after dinner and always have the same schedule. This allows newcomers to learn the movements of the other children. Often the event starts with a queue (El Tren) where the children are gathered together.
Depending on the age of the children and the type of event, the accompanying parents are often addressed.
In recent years, the mini disco has attracted attention through a number of specific music tracks that many people, not just the kids, liked.
The best known titles are certainly "Veo Veo" and "El Tren" by Teresa Rabal (or the party-ready cover versions by the Hot Banditoz ). This also includes songs like "Yo Tengo Un Cochecito" (Teresa Rabal / Hot Banditoz), "The singing kangaroo", "The song about me" ( Volker Rosin ), "My best friend", "My daddy cool", " Fit like a sneaker "( Funtastikos )," Ilarie "( Xuxa / Las Chicas )," Agadou "( Saragossa Band , English" Agadoo ")," Do The Conga "," Viva España "," Hokey Cokey "and" The Music Man "( Black Lace ).
