The Prime Minister's Office of Turkey (Türkiye Cumhuriyeti Başbakanlığı) was the direct subordinate of the Prime Minister of Turkey . It was organized like a ministry. His tasks included coordinating the work of the ministries, monitoring government policy and implementing the government program. The Prime Minister's Office was the publisher of the daily gazette of the Republic of Turkey . Since the implementation of the constitutional reform in 2018, the office of Prime Minister of the Republic of Turkey has been dissolved and the tasks of the head of government have been transferred to the state president . The Prime Minister's Office therefore stopped its work.
The seat of the authority was the Çankaya Palace , which previously housed the presidential office.

history
The office was officially founded on January 20, 1921. On May 20, 1933, the work and duties of the Prime Minister's office were first introduced with Law No. 2187 ( Başvekâlet Teşkilât ve Vazifeleri Hakkında Kanun - "Law on the establishment and tasks of the Prime Minister's Office") regulated by law. After the adoption of the Turkish Constitution of 1982 and the redefinition of the duties of the Prime Minister, the restructuring of the Prime Minister's office also became necessary. In 1984, the duties of the office were reorganized with Law No. 3056. The law replaced an "ordinance with the force of law" (Kanun Hükmünde Kararname) that had been in force until then .
