Minor Hall
"Minor" Ram Hall (born March 2, 1897 in Sellers , Louisiana , † October 16, 1959 in Sawtelle , California ) was an American jazz drummer of New Orleans jazz .
Tubby Hall is the younger brother of the drummer Alfred "Tubby" Hall . He played with Kid Ory in New Orleans in 1916 , then with Sugar Johnnie's New Orleans Creole Orchestra , then went to Chicago, where he played with bands like King Oliver's in 1922 and then with Jimmie Noone . In 1924 he moved to California and worked there with Mutt Carey's Jeffersonians (1927/32) and in Winslow Allen's orchestra. In 1944 he became a member of the orchestra of Kid Ory, with which he stayed until he fell ill on a European tour in 1956. He was also involved in recordings with Louis Armstrong .
