The Minuartia wettsteinii is a plant of the genus Mieren ( Minuartia ) in the family of Caryophyllaceae (Caryophyllaceae).

description

Minuartia wettsteinii is a perennial subshrub that reaches heights of 6 to 15 centimeters. The plant is bare and has only a few flowers . The leaves are linear, dull and blue-green. The sepals are elongated, blunt, five-nerved, slightly fleshy and 4 to 5 millimeters long. The crown is 2 millimeters longer than the calyx.

The flowering period extends from May to July.

The number of chromosomes is 2n = 26.

Occurrence

Minuartia wettsteinii is endemic to the Lasithi Prefecture of Crete . The plant grows on limestone corridors at altitudes of 1100 to 1400 meters.
