Miodrag Petrović (born November 16, 1946 - † November 29, 2017 ) was a former Yugoslav football player .
The striker and midfielder played for Partizan Belgrade in the late 1960s, and in 1967 scored two goals for the club in the trade fair cup . In 1970 he moved to the West to Standard Liège , where he only made four league appearances during the entire season, only once in the starting line-up. In 1971 he came to Germany for the first time, initially for one year with the regional league team Kickers Offenbach , in 1972 with 1. FC Nürnberg , where he was able to establish himself as a regular; Petrović scored 17 goals in 33 regional league games for the club. In the summer of 1972 he left Germany for French-speaking Switzerland , where he was under contract with Servette FC Genève for two years ; In 1973/74 he was the fifth top scorer in the Swiss league, securing Geneva entry into the 1974/75 UEFA Cup where he scored a goal, but Servette was eliminated 6-2 in the first round. In 1975 the Bundesliga club 1. FC Köln signed him . However, it quickly became clear that the player was not delivering what was hoped for.
After only six months, Petrovic moved to Westfalia Herne in the 2nd Bundesliga North at the end of 1975 . Another six months later he went to his fifth German club. At Werder Bremen he achieved something like a regular place with a total of 26 appearances. But even there, after the end of the 1976/77 season, no value was placed on his services.
