Mirahur

Mirahur ( Ottoman مير اخور mir achur , İA mīr-āḫūr ; also imrahor ) was in the Ottoman Empire the title of the supreme stable master of the Sultan's palace . The Mirahur held the rank of Agha .

The stables that the Mirahur presided over were called ıṣṭabl-ı ʿāmire . After the Tanzimat reforms, the office was called Istabl-ı Âmire Müdürü . The rank was also reduced to that of a lieutenant colonel .

Several Ottoman mosques are called İmrahor Mosque, such as the İmrahor Mosque in Üsküdar , the Mirahor Mosque in Korce and the Studio Monastery in Istanbul .
