Mireya Cueto (born February 3, 1922 in Mexico City ; † April 26, 2013 ibid) was a Mexican puppeteer , writer and dramaturge and co-founder of the national puppet museum Museo Nacional de Títeres (MUNATI) in Huamantla in the state of Tlaxcala .

Cueto was the daughter of the artists Germán and Lola Cueto , who were also well-known puppeteers. Since 2001, in her honor in Mexico, the Consejo Nacional para la Cultura y las Artes (CONACULTA) has been the main organizer of the national puppet theater festival Festival nacional de Títeres "Mireya Cueto" every August . In 2006 she received the international “Gorgorito” award of the Unión Nacional de Intérpretes de Marionetas (UNIMA) in Madrid .
