Miriam Vogt (born September 30, 1959 in Aachen ) is a German painter .

Life

Miriam Vogt grew up in Aachen. She has lived and worked as an art therapist and freelance artist in Switzerland since 2002.

Miriam Vogt's works are created through the activity of painting and seeing. Not the exact idea, but the exact observation and a "creative impulse" form the basis of her works. It's an organized mess. Abstract, modern and occasionally figurative. In addition to color and material, words, stories and motifs often find their way into her artistic work.

Artistic creation

Miriam Vogt began her artistic training in 1977 as a sculptor with Norbert Ahlmann in Lüdinghausen (Germany) with a focus on traditional Christian sculpture. This examination of the structure, the surface, the material and the representational can be found in the works of Miriam Vogt to this day. Miriam Vogt only came to painting when she attended the technical college for design in Münster (Germany) from 1978 to 1979 - a path that she has not abandoned despite marriage and subsequent family time. Rather, she continued her education during this time and subsequently studied (1995 to 1999) painting at the Novalishochschulverein in Kamp-Lintfort . In 2004 the master class at the summer academy in Salzburg followed . Miriam Vogt has been giving painting courses in her own studio since 2002.
