Annette Schröter

Annette Schröter (born April 23, 1956 in Meißen ) is a German painter and paper cut artist.

Life

Annette Schröter studied from 1977 to 1982 at the University of Graphic and Book Art in Leipzig / painting class with Bernhard Heisig . In 1985 she moved to Hamburg. In 1986 she was awarded the Hamburg Elysée Prize for Painting . From 1988 to 1990 she taught figurative drawing in the design department at the FHS Hamburg. In 1992 she was a visiting professor for painting at the Pentiment, the University of Applied Sciences in Hamburg. In 1997 she moved to Leipzig and from 1999 to 2001 she was a visiting professor for painting at the Burg Giebichenstein Art Academy in Halle . In 2001 she was awarded the Art Prize at the 8th Leipzig Annual Exhibition. In 2003 she was again a visiting professor in Hamburg. From 2004 to 2005 Schröter was a lecturer at the Dresden University of Fine Arts . In 2006 she was artist in residence in Bern / Switzerland. Since 2006 she has held a professorship for painting at the University of Graphic and Book Art in Leipzig .

Annette Schröter lives in Leipzig.
